Did you change your BIOS settings so that the SSD would be the first drive? That would be why it isn't showing as C. Also, did you replace the SATA cable for one you know works well?
Yeah I placed it as first on boot in the bios. Technically I swapped all 3 cables by rearranging them so that the SSD is plugged back into the SATA 3 port with a SATA 3 cable, the blank gaming hard drive is plugged into the other SATA 3 port with a SATA 3 cable (this showed as Drive 0 on windows reinstall), and the porn drive is plugged into the first SATA 2 port with a SATA 2 cable.

The BSOD came after windows started to configure settings after booting and doing the windows logo.

Right now I'm still in the windows install screen at 3% expanding windows files ( the entire install took like 5 minutes last time on the SSD).

If I should make any changes such as changing the boot order then reformating or reformating / installing with the other HDD unplugged then tell me. I'm going to wait on your word before going through the tedious steps of activating windows over the phone and reinstalling all the programs/drivers.

Well I went to check on the install and got an error message saying the file couldn't be found.

Error Code: 0x80070002

I'm going to shut down the computer and just wait for you to tell me what I should do.

Hmm... Windows errors tend to be very broad and it's hard to tell exactly what that error is indicating.

Step 1, I would disconnect any devices that you don't immediately need (USB wireless dongles, external drives, that kind of stuff) and the HDD that your porn is on. You can maybe try installing again but do a full format on the drive this time. I know I said that wasn't necessary, and it usually isn't, but there's been cases where new drives need to be full formatted first. If it works, then don't bother activating right away. Try using it for a bit and see if you have any issues. Then you can start re-attaching your devices and installing them.

Well I did do a full format (or at least I think I did). I'm using the Windows disk to do formatting/installs because there isn't a drive that has Windows installed right now. When I delete the old partition and click the new button it automatically makes it the biggest size in an instant. Then I click format which doesn't give me an option for quick or full like you can see in Windows. The format this time still took a while but didn't give me any error messages. I don't have any USB attachments other than the mouse, microphone, and camera but Ill take off all of them besides the mouse.

Again, thanks for the help and I'm betting I'm still going to have problems ahead.

You are very welcome.

If I remember correctly, weren't you having similar issues before, which is what prompted you to buy a new drive? There very well could be a hardware issue somewhere else, if that is the case.

I had an issue where browsing with a lot of tabs caused the computer to crash and would run into slow videos that were already on the drive. I did all those tests that you told me to do before but we didn't find anything. I bought the SSD because I figured I didn't have enough money to buy a new mobo, video card, and processor for a complete overhaul.

Right now I'm reinstalling with no other hard drives connected and it's been at 0% for the past 30 min.

If this fails is it okay if I format and reinstall when it's connected to one of the SATA 2 ports?

Once you've got things operational, you can continue running some tests to figure out what potential problems you have. Prime95 should be fine to check your motherboard/processor. Hiren's Boot CD contains various diagnostics that could also help testing both the motherboard and processor independently. FurMark could be used to test your video card. I think we already tested your memory pretty exhaustively and didn't see any issues there.

If this fails is it okay if I format and reinstall when it's connected to one of the SATA 2 ports?
Yes. I would recommend that.

First, wipe all the spooge off the case. Then, wipe all the spooge off the drives. Then, wipe all the spooge off the motherboard. Next, wipe all the spooge off the video cards.

Finally, sit in shame.

Well I got Windows to install on the SSD and I will test everything tomorrow. The mobo I have uses ports 6 and 7 for SATA 3 and I switched it from 7 to 6 with a different cable and it worked. The install still took a long time but the format was instant. I might install the mobo and video card drivers tonight just so I don't have to do it tomorrow.

Is your windows disk badly damaged too or something??
I thought that too but no it is fine, I even used a different DVD drive this time.

I spooge into paper towels.

It is aerosolizing and landing in your computer. Your sperms are shorting out the microchips.

TTT has a hdd solely for porn. Am I the only one who thinks that's just a tad fucked up?

I'm guessing you've got 15.2?
Select "DOS Programs" from the menu. Then "Testing tools". You can try running the "Video Memory Stress Test" for awhile to see if there's any issues. Maybe let it go for an hour before canceling it (just press Escape). You can also try the HD test from that menu, but I've never used that.

Under the Hard Drive menu, you should find a tool called Victoria. Run that. You'll use P to select the drive, then press 4 to start a scan. It's an awkward to use tool, but is very useful.

When you're done, go back to the Main Boot Menu. Run Mini Windows XP. Once it boots, you'll see "HBCD Menu" on the desktop. Open that, then click "Browse folder". You can try running programs like HDDScan to check hard drives, Prime95 to test CPU & memory under load, there's a GUI version of Video Memory stress Test, or really any other programs you might want. They are all listed here.

You'll have to download FurMark since it isn't part of Hiren's Boot CD, but you should be able to do that and install it while still in the Mini Windows XP.

Here is the result from Crystal Disk on the SSD. The first test was the 4 tests at 1000MB, the second was 9x 4000MB tests, and the final was the 9x 50MB tests.

Tonight!
I'd say to go start - run then type in CMD to get the Dos command prompt.

type ipconfig
tell us what info is under the ethernet adapter section, that's probably the issue
