Okay Ben ShapiroCool little tidbit about the etymology of Bag End, is that it's a loose translation of the French "cul de sac" which means "dead end" but directly translates to "ass of bag". Tolkien decided to clean it up a little, and the result was "end of bag" or "bag end".
