Actually they are doing it for free. But tell you what, if some of the more permanent members actually 'posted' stuff then we might actually have a forum!

all posting stuff does is make us click more. We'd still only be sharing things with the same 8 people.

If you want the forum to make any progress, you need way fewer subsections. When you look at the screen and there are 12 empty sections, its overwhelmingly empty. Pick 2 or 3, and delete the rest. Then you'll have a forum that doesnt completely look empty, and people will see more new posts.
